Terry Valentine– PGA Professional
Terry is 1980 graduate of Ashland High School where he earned three varsity letters on the golf team. He later attended Ohio Wesleyan University and graduated in 1984. During his tenure at OWU Terry was a four-year varsity team member, team captain, and a two-time All American.
After college Terry played tournament golf on the Florida Mini Tours from 1985-1990. He competed in three PGA Tour Qualifying Tournaments and in 1988 advanced to the second stage. During this time he worked as an Assistant Professional for The Country Club of the Rockies (Edwards Co., 1985), Westbrook Country Club (Mansfield, OH, 1986), and Elyria Country Club (Elyria, OH, 1987-1989). While at Elyria C.C. Terry won the NOPGA Assistants Tournament. In 1991 he earned his membership as a Class A Professional in the PGA of America .
Terry served as the Ashland University men's golf coach from1996 to 2001. Two of his teams qualified for the NCAA Post Season Regional Tournament and one team member advanced to regional tournament play. He had the distinction of coaching four players who earned the prestigious Academic All American Award.
In addition to a myriad of individual and group lessons, Terry's teaching experience includes serving as an instructor at both Duke University and Wooster College's respective golf camps.
Terry has been the head golf professional and manager of Brookside Golf Course since 1992.
